Woman rescued after vehicle crashes into Hialeah canal

A woman was hospitalized after her car crashed into a canal in Hialeah. Hialeah Fire Rescue reported she may have had a medical emergency before losing control, and she was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. A resident provided snorkel gear to assist in the search for possible passengers, calling the incident shocking and the first of its kind in the area.
