PTA says submarine cable fault resolved, internet services back to normal

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) confirmed internet services in Pakistan have returned to normal after a fault in the SEA-ME-WE 5 submarine cable was resolved. Transworld Associates (TWA) and internet service provider Nayatel reported restored international traffic. A new SEA-ME-WE 6 submarine cable with 100 terabits per second capacity was recently deployed in Pakistan.
