Caregiver accused of neglecting, exploiting 84-year-old Putnam County man

Brandon McBroom is accused of neglecting and financially exploiting his 84-year-old grandfather, who was found in severe malnutrition and poor living conditions. Investigators allege McBroom withdrew $4,460.50 from the victim's account through 30 transactions and deposited two checks into his own account. He was arrested and charged with elder neglect, theft, and financial exploitation.
