Slain Ayatollah’s son attends funeral as current Ayatollah stays away
Three sons of slain Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei attended his funeral, while Mojtaba Khamenei, who succeeded him as Iran's supreme leader, did not appear. State media showed Mostafa, Meysam, and Masoud Khamenei praying at the funeral held in Tehran's Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla, with earlier reports indicating Mojtaba may have been advised against attending by Revolutionary Guard leaders.
