Coal is back in AustralianSuper’s portfolio. What happened to that net zero pledge?
AustralianSuper, Australia’s largest super fund, removed Whitehaven Coal shares in 2020 as part of its net zero carbon emissions pledge but has since become the coalminer’s largest investor by 2026. The fund initially dumped the shares to align with the Paris agreement’s goals.
