Another Philippine senator arrested on allegations of large-scale plunder

Philippine Sen. Rodante Marcoleta was arrested on plunder charges for allegedly receiving undeclared campaign contributions. He denied wrongdoing and was taken into custody at the Sandiganbayan court. His arrest follows that of Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, with both linked to former President Rodrigo Duterte and his daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte, who faces impeachment.
