Israeli finance minister Bezalel Smotrich announced a 'settlement revolution' aimed at expanding Israeli settlements to the Negev and Galilee. The statement followed approval of 13 new settlements in the central occupied West Bank, which Palestinian officials claim will isolate East Jerusalem from surrounding communities.
