Mom sentenced after killing her children’s father at daycare while kids were in car seats

Mindy Osteen, 34, was sentenced to 100 years in prison for second-degree murder and other charges after shooting Christopher Travis Jones at Auntie Lili’s Daycare in Starke, Florida, while their children were in the car. Osteen fired multiple shots at Jones as he attempted to flee, claiming self-defense, but he later died from his injuries. Six other children and two employees were present during the incident.
