Costco shoppers may be eligible for settlement checks over marketing emails

Costco customers in Washington state may receive payments from a $14 million settlement over allegations of sending misleading marketing emails between June 2021 and July 2026. The lawsuit claimed Costco violated Washington's Commercial Electronic Mail Act by promoting limited-time offers that continued past stated expiration dates. The settlement does not admit Costco's wrongdoing, and customers must act by August 24 to participate.
