In a divided America, the left and right unite to oppose artificial intelligence data centers

Opposition to rapidly expanding artificial intelligence data centers has united cross-partisan groups like conservative farmers and the state Sierra Club chapter in rural eastern Nebraska. These groups express concern over dwindling farmland, declining water supplies, and the impact of massive corporations on small towns. Due to these concerns, officials in Cass County approved a 12-month moratorium on allowing data center development.
