Abidin

An Israeli settler group called the Pioneers of Bashan has urged the cultivation and sale of crops in occupied Syrian land in Daraa and Quneitra governorates. The group cited a 2,000-ton wheat harvest in Quneitra and claimed such actions would increase yields. Syrian authorities condemned Israeli incursions as violations of sovereignty.

The Syrian foreign ministry condemned Israeli incursions and bombardment in southern Syria following Israeli forces' advance into the village of Abidin. Residents of Abidin attempted to block the road with stones to halt an Israeli patrol. The Israeli military has conducted at least 70 incursions into southern Syria this month, according to local NGO Sijil.

Israeli forces shelled the village of Abidin in southern Syria's Deraa province near the occupied Golan Heights, according to Syria's SANA. Israeli military aircraft were also reported over Quneitra and Deraa as military activity expands in the region.

Israeli forces have expanded their presence in Syria’s southern Deraa province by establishing new checkpoints and moving military vehicles into the area. Reports indicate a second checkpoint was set up near Sreyeh Jamlah, and troops advanced into Abidin, setting up additional checkpoints and conducting searches.
