A former member of the Conti ransomware group pleaded guilty to participating in cyberattacks affecting over 1,000 organizations globally, including 12 victims in the U.S. He developed malware for the group and faces up to 20 years in prison. The Justice Department stated the attacks caused millions in damages and involved ransomware extorting $150 million worldwide.
