    Pedestrian dies after early morning crash on GW Parkway

    A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on the northbound lanes of the George Washington Memorial Parkway near Columbia Island early Saturday. The driver remained at the scene and called 911, but the pedestrian later died at a local hospital. The crash caused lane closures and an ongoing investigation.
