Tepper Sports & Entertainment has hired Jason Stone, formerly of Kraft Sports & Entertainment, as general manager of stadium and venue operations. He will oversee Bank of America Stadium and the company’s NFL and MLS training centers, starting July 8 and reporting to CEO Kristi Coleman.

Charlotte City Council approved a land transfer to expand the Bank of America Stadium lease for a new 4,200-seat performance venue. The 0.24-acre parcel will host 80-100 annual events, with no tax dollars used. Councilmember Lawana Slack Mayfield opposed the move, advocating for community benefits, while the city argued the venue aligns with stadium renovation goals.

Concerts at Bank of America Stadium, including Zach Bryan's April performance, have driven record hotel demand due to out-of-town attendees traveling an average of 190-200 miles. Upcoming events like the Chris Stapleton/Lainey Wilson show on June 20 are expected to follow this trend, boosting tourism revenue for hotels and restaurants.

New traffic patterns are being tested around Bank of America Stadium during major events like the Chris Stapleton concert to improve traffic flow. The changes focus on key areas including Morehead Street, Church and Third Streets, and Graham and Mint Streets, aiming to direct traffic to I-277 and I-77 more efficiently.
