- Passenger train upgrades heading to Wisconsin, neighboring states

The Vermont Agency of Transportation received $19.7 million in federal BUILD grant funding under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to reconstruct a 12-mile stretch of Route 7 from Pittsford to Brandon. The project, awarded to Engineer’s Construction, Inc., aims to improve safety and capacity through roadway widening, truck climbing lanes, and other infrastructure upgrades, with construction set to begin in fall 2023 and finish by fall 2028.
