World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit founded by chef José Andrés, mobilized to distribute food in northern Venezuela after back-to-back earthquakes. The organization partnered with local restaurants and community groups to prepare and deliver meals to displaced families, rescue workers, and others in need, serving approximately 10,000 meals daily.

Two Charlotte Knights staff members from Venezuela are affected by recent earthquakes that killed at least 920 people and injured over 3,300. The staff members, Terri Estevez and pitcher Jairo Iriarte, expressed emotional distress and difficulty contacting family amid the crisis. The baseball community is offering support, and The Latin Corner in Pineville is collecting donations for victims.

The United Nations is requesting financial donations for its underfunded humanitarian program in Venezuela, which is addressing the needs of 8 million people affected by crises, including recent earthquakes that caused widespread damage in Caracas and surrounding states. The UN is collaborating with the U.S. State Department and U.S. Southern Command to respond to the disasters.
