Darline Graham Nordone, sister of late Senator Lindsey Graham, was appointed by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster to serve the remainder of his Senate term. The appointment, supported by President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, positions her as an interim caretaker ahead of the August primary. Nordone, who has a close relationship with her brother and oversees the state’s Commission for the Blind, pledged to continue his legislative work.
