Rapper Swizz Beatz and music publishers are suing Boatyard Lake Norman, a Cornelius bar, for allegedly playing copyrighted songs like 'Party Up (Up in Here)' and 'Shut Up and Dance' without a license. The lawsuit claims the bar's owner, Christopher Boukedes, and his company Hello Bye, LLC, refused to obtain an ASCAP license despite repeated requests.
