Dowleswaram

32,000 people were evacuated in Polavaram district as the Godavari and Sabari rivers began to recede. V.R. Puram and Kunavaram mandals, near the Sabari-Godavari confluence, are the worst hit, with over 11 lakh cusecs of water being released into the sea at Dowleswaram.

Authorities have issued an alert as the Godavari river's water level nears the first warning mark at Dowleswaram, reaching 42.10 feet. The Eluru district administration is enhancing relief efforts in flood-affected villages Velairpadu and Kukunoor mandals.
