The city of Birmingham finalized a $5.2 million purchase of the Community House building, an endowment, and two Marshall Fredericks sculptures for the City of Birmingham Community House Foundation. The foundation, operated by the city, aims to preserve the building as a community center offering daycare, events, and programming, with Birmingham native Tim Allen pledging to match donations up to $100,000.
