Footage from Kherson shows an FPV drone attacking 52-year-old Yuriy, a vegetable seller, near his truck before exploding. He survived, but the incident reflects a pattern documented by the UN of civilians near the front being targeted during daily tasks.

Russian drone strikes in Kharkiv on July 26 injured at least seven people. A fiber-optic FPV drone hit a bakery truck in the Shevchenkivskyi district, hospitalizing the 43-year-old driver. Another drone strike damaged a residential area, injuring nine people, including two children, and destroying over ten private homes.

Kyiv Post joined a Ukrainian UGV unit from the 13th Khartiia Brigade on a mission to deliver supplies to front-line positions amid Russian drone threats. Ukrainian law enforcement agencies prevented a Russian-backed plot to assassinate HUR representative Yusov using an FPV drone. A suspect recruited by Russian special services was detained after gathering surveillance data on the target in exchange for up to $100,000.

Russian FPV drones and artillery killed two civilians and wounded four others in Ukraine's Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Kherson regions on June 6, 2026. In Derhachi, an FPV drone struck a 51-year-old man on a scooter, while another strike in Kramatorsk killed a 50-year-old resident.
