    Doctor given 9‑month ban over misconduct in case that left boy disabled for life

    A Hong Kong paediatrician, Dr Sit Sou-chi, was removed from the General Register for nine months without suspension after being found guilty of professional misconduct in a case involving a newborn who suffered a seizure in 2009 and was left permanently disabled. The medical watchdog determined the doctor failed to conduct necessary and immediate investigations on the infant, Li Yuanjian.
