    Detroit River restoration receives $10 million boost from EPA, state

    The EPA and Michigan are providing $6.5 million and $3.5 million respectively to clean up contaminated sediment and restore habitat along the Detroit River. The project focuses on Upper Trenton Harbor and other sites within the 700-acre Detroit River Area of Concern, aiming to address 3.5 million cubic yards of toxic sediment containing bacteria, PCBs, metals, oil, and grease.
