Security forces killed Amir Mauviya, the mastermind of the July 30 Hangu police checkpost attack that killed nine police officials. Mauviya, linked to Fitna-al-Khawarij (a state term for Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan), was eliminated during an intelligence-based operation in Chapri Naryab.
