The US signed a nuclear deal with Saudi Arabia potentially allowing uranium enrichment, amid ongoing US strikes in Iran and Houthi attacks on Saudi oil tankers. The deal faces congressional opposition due to proliferation concerns, with Saudi Arabia threatening to seek nuclear partnerships with China or Russia if the US does not comply.

A chemical tanker named Asana was seized off Yemen's southern coast in the Gulf of Aden by armed assailants believed to be Somali pirates. The vessel, with no confirmed flag, was en route to the Somali port of Bosaso, and the incident is not linked to Yemen's Houthi militia.

The Government of Sudan condemned the Houthi militia's missile attacks on southern Saudi Arabia. The attack was described as a terrorist act.
