- Maryland Park and Planning Commission scores victory against Prince George’s County
The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) won a court ruling preventing Prince George’s County from diverting $39.3 million in taxpayer funds. The county accused the Commission of improper spending, but a judge granted a temporary restraining order (TRO) to block the funds from being redirected. The Commission plans to pursue a permanent injunction and collaborate with county officials to address budget issues.
