Qatar and Egypt discussed bilateral relations and regional tensions during a meeting in Amman. Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani called for implementing the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding to ensure security and stability in the region.

The US halted airstrikes on Iran after 13 nights, with Pakistan and Turkey facilitating diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions. The United States and Iran have agreed on a 60-day roadmap toward a final agreement, facilitated by mediators Pakistan and Qatar. The parties also established a direct communication line for the Strait of Hormuz and a de-confliction cell for Lebanon, with Iran's foreign minister noting progress in ending the war in Lebanon and citing sanctions waivers and asset releases by the US.
