West Bengal is set to establish its first National Investigation Agency (NIA) police station, making it the 17th such station across the country.

The Delhi High Court heard multiple PILs regarding Jantar Mantar protests and rejected a plea for an NIA investigation into a July 20 protest organized by the Cockroach Janta Party, stating the Central government should decide the matter. The court also deferred a challenge to claims of videography and surveillance of demonstrators.

Two individuals were arrested in Manipur by a joint team of NIA, Manipur Police, and CRPF for the killing of six Nagas. The arrests were made in separate villages within Kangpokpi district's Leimakhong area.

NIA is set to charge 10 individuals for their involvement in a narco-terror syndicate in Jammu and Kashmir. They are accused of financing terrorist activities through narcotics smuggling.

The Bombay High Court has directed the NIA to respond within two weeks to Varavara Rao's request to relocate from Mumbai to Hyderabad. The 85-year-old activist, currently on medical bail, claims he cannot afford to live in Mumbai.
