Naperville police issued a traffic alert regarding the rescheduled fireworks display at the Frontier Sports Complex on Saturday. The free event, originally planned for July 4 but postponed due to inclement weather, is now set for 9:30 p.m. Attendees are advised to expect delays and follow recommended viewing and parking locations provided by Naperville police.

Jeffrey Feigenbaum, 29, was charged with two counts of hate crime, battery, and disorderly conduct after allegedly yelling a racial slur at a 9-year-old Black boy, pushing him, and throwing his bike during a dispute over a damaged fort. DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin condemned the incident as 'disturbing' and emphasized that hate crimes have no place in society.

Naperville police arrested nine people, including eight teenagers, and issued dozens of citations during a reported teen takeover. The event was part of a zero-tolerance approach to address the planned teen activity.
