The World Health Organization says the risk of Ebola spread is high regionally but low globally, with over 130 suspected deaths in Congo and Uganda. The outbreak could last at least another two months, and aid efforts are being intensified. There are no approved medicines or vaccines for the Bundibugyo virus.

At least 80 deaths have been reported in Congo's new Ebola outbreak, with health workers racing to contain the disease through screening and contact tracing. The outbreak has been confirmed in three health zones in the Ituri province, including the capital city Bunia. Eight laboratory-confirmed cases have been reported, among them four deaths.
