Anthony DiPietro, a New York Law School alumnus and trustee, donated $1 million to establish the Carmen DiPietro Scholarship Fund for students pursuing careers in plaintiff law. The scholarship supports students interested in medical malpractice, personal injury, civil rights, criminal prosecution, and appellate advocacy. DiPietro, a trial attorney with over $2.2 billion in client compensation, praised his mother’s values of equality and justice as inspiration for the gift.

The Trump administration imposed double-digit tariffs on over 60 countries using Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974, citing failures to enforce forced-labor import bans.
