Two 17-year-olds were charged after police seized a weapon of mass destruction and ammunition from a home in northeast Charlotte. University City officers assisted North Carolina Probation with the search at a convicted felon's home on Hanover Crossing Drive.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and North Carolina Probation seized a Glock firearm, extended magazines, ammunition, and car-breaking tools from the home of 17-year-old Tristan English, who was convicted of a 2025 shooting into an occupied dwelling. A second 17-year-old was also arrested in connection with the seized items.
