Hong Kong is unlikely to issue a typhoon warning over the weekend as tropical cyclone Kujira weakens under the influence of Dolphin. At least 18 flights between Hong Kong and Japan have been canceled due to the storm, despite Dolphin being downgraded from a super typhoon to a severe typhoon.

Super Typhoon Dolphin is expected to bring very hot weather to Hong Kong in the latter part of next week. The typhoon, currently over the western North Pacific, may move toward waters south of Japan, though its future path remains uncertain.

They urged Nigerian authorities to ensure the safety of SERAP staff, a fair appeal process, and to cease harassment against the organization.

Hong Kong's northern New Territories experienced heavy rainfall and flooding on Wednesday night, prompting the Observatory to issue an amber rainstorm warning at 9pm. The warning indicated rainfall exceeding 30mm per hour with continued heavy rain expected, leading to a flooding alert for the region at 9:45pm. Ta Kwu Ling was identified as one of the hardest-hit areas.
