Dozens of cities and counties have filed class action lawsuits against fire truck manufacturers, alleging that the companies conspired to suppress supply, raise prices, and extend delivery times. Plaintiffs claim the three largest manufacturers control a significant portion of the U.S. market, leading to price hikes—with costs nearly doubling since 2020—and wait times reaching several years. These lawsuit claims were rolled up into an antitrust class action in a Wisconsin district court.

Oshkosh is considering a potential Marine Corps Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) deal due to growing readiness gaps under the current contract. The Marine Corps stated it evaluates acquisition options to meet requirements, preserve readiness, and reduce fielding risk.
