Proxima Fusion

Google has backed Proxima Fusion, a nuclear fusion startup aiming to build Europe’s first commercial power plant. The company has raised $468 million to advance its efforts in commercializing nuclear fusion technology.

Google and RWE have backed German nuclear startup Proxima Fusion at a €2.4 billion valuation. Google also agreed to purchase 200 megawatts of power from Commonwealth Fusion Systems, an American fusion energy company it supports.
