A Wisconsin woman named Janet fell victim to a Medicare phone scam where callers impersonated Medicare, pharmacies, and doctors to coerce her into providing personal information. Medicare confirmed the scam, and Janet received unwanted medical equipment after reporting the incident. Wisconsin’s Senior Medical Patrol warns that Medicare does not terminate benefits or request personal information unsolicited.
