The author’s family went on a weeklong expedition cruise to the Galápagos Islands, an experience they found unlike any previous trip. While they had previously traveled to over 25 countries and experienced safaris in places like Tanzania's Serengeti, the wildlife encounters in the Galápagos were much closer.
