Tesla's China EV sales increased for a ninth consecutive month, while BYD achieved its highest monthly sales of the year and Leapmotor exceeded 100,000 units for two months in a row, surpassing Tesla China.

Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory reported its highest monthly deliveries of the year in May, with 85,982 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles delivered, a 39.4% increase from the previous year. However, the company faces growing competition from domestic rivals introducing new models.
