- State lawmaker discovers he’s bound by an NDA he doesn’t remember signing
State Sen. Bob Hensgens discovered he had signed a broad NDA with Louisiana Economic Development (LED) in September, despite publicly refusing a separate project-specific NDA related to a rumored aerospace project in Vermilion Parish. LED rescinded the general NDA upon Hensgens' request but noted it would still apply for one year to any previously shared confidential information.
- Sen. Bob Hensgens said he didn’t sign an NDA. He was wrong.
State Sen. Bob Hensgens claimed he did not sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) related to a potential aerospace project in Vermilion Parish, but he was already under a general NDA with Louisiana Economic Development (LED) that he signed electronically in September. LED confirmed the NDA applied to all prospective projects in Louisiana and was in effect during Hensgens' public comments. After being informed of the NDA in July 2026, Hensgens requested and received its rescission.
