Scientists discovered that graphene oxide selectively destroys harmful bacteria and drug-resistant 'superbugs' by targeting a molecule unique to bacterial membranes, leaving human cells unharmed. It also accelerates wound healing and retains antibacterial efficacy after repeated washing.
