A Riverside County man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile victim. The suspect, Jesse Martinez, 27, of Mira Loma, was identified by the Ontario Police Department after the victim reported being approached by Martinez, who provided his phone number and later met with her.

A boy was stabbed to death near an elementary school in El Monte on July 10. Los Angeles County deputies responded to the 2600 block of North Potrero Avenue around 1 p.m., where they found the juvenile victim with critical injuries. A suspect remains at large.
