A clinical trial of the Galleri multi-cancer blood test involving 142,000 NHS patients in the UK failed to reduce late-stage cancer diagnoses, according to results presented at an oncology conference in Chicago. The test, designed to detect over 50 cancer types, did not meet its primary goal of shifting diagnoses to earlier stages when added to standard screening.
