A new treatment using pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy (PIPAC) was administered at the Centre Georges-François Leclerc in Dijon, France, to reduce peritoneal metastases from pancreatic and biliary tract cancer. The treatment, delivered as a pressurized aerosol under general anesthesia, did not cause harmful side effects.
