The Detroit Zoo has welcomed a newborn baby girl gorilla, the second born in its nearly 100-year history. The infant, born to first-time mom Tulivu and father Mshindi, is the sixth gorilla at the zoo and half-sibling to Motema, a previous birth in 2024. The zoo reports all are doing well and will monitor the family closely.
