Indicted
State of Hawaii v. Luke et al.
Sylvia Luke, Hawaii's Democratic lieutenant governor, is indicted on charges of criminal conspiracy to commit bribery and bribery, allegedly accepting a $35,000 bribe from businessman Tobi Solidum in 2022 related to a COVID-19 testing contract. Ryan Yamane, Ford Fuchigami, and Leo Asunción were also indicted as part of the state corruption investigation.
