China’s BYD claims Germany’s plug-in hybrid crown, disrupting market of iconic auto giants
BYD, a Chinese carmaker, achieved 232% growth in plug-in hybrid vehicle registrations in Germany in May, capturing 2.6% of the new-car market share with 6,169 vehicles registered. The Atto 2 DM-i model led BYD's sales with 2,113 registrations, becoming the top-selling plug-in hybrid in the country.
