Japan's tech business SoftBank rolls out OpenAI 'patches' against cyberattacks
SoftBank Group Corp. is launching a cybersecurity service using OpenAI technology to address Japan's vulnerability to cyberattacks, targeting 3,000 companies in critical infrastructure. The service, developed through a 50:50 joint venture with OpenAI named SB OAI Japan, will diagnose and patch security weaknesses. OpenAI's Sam Altman was absent from the launch due to the birth of his daughter, with Mark Chen representing the company instead.
