One resident was injured after jumping from a window to escape a house fire on Detroit’s east side. Firefighters responded to the 11600 block of Chatham, found heavy fires, and transported the individual with cuts and smoke inhalation to the hospital. No other injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation.
