Mangione lawyers abandon psychiatric defense over health CEO’s killing

Luigi Mangione's legal team reversed their decision to use a psychiatric defense in his trial for the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The defense initially claimed Mangione was under 'extreme emotional disturbance' at the time of the 4 December 2024 murder.
