First responders find 5 people dead, 2 others injured following carbon monoxide leak
A carbon monoxide leak in a residential duplex in Phelps County, Missouri, resulted in five deaths and two injuries. First responders arrived at 5:30 a.m. and found five people dead, one with moderate injuries, and one critically injured. A deputy was also exposed to carbon monoxide during the rescue effort, and the sheriff’s department is investigating the incident.
